However, as I was about to pull the trigger (online purchase), I realized that the case thickness was 15.1mm. This is a great value point for speedy line. It was my first real watch. If you daily it is great, but as part of a collection 2 things you should know: 1) The date is super annoying to set with the little pusher on the upper left and 2) the crown is a little grindy for winding. I don't care about COSC - outside of a niche within a niche of watch buyers I don't think anybody does. If I wanted accuracy, I'd get a HAQ, Quartz or if I wanted that silky smooth sweep, Spring Drive. Cal 1140/1143/3220 have 30 years .
