Combining the slightly simpler dial design of the Speedy Reduced with the proportions and size of the classic, the Alpha Chronograph is actually a bit more versatile than the actual Speedmaster. The unlined counters dial back the hardcore sportiness, without taking away from it completely, especially considering the large 42mm case.

I've been looking seriously at getting an Omega Speedmaster Racing 40mm reverse panda dial coaxial. It uses the 3330 movement which is based very loosely on the Valjoux 7753 with the coaxial escapement, column wheel and silicone hairspring added. 40mm is my sweet spot and the reverse panda dial looks amazing. Are these a solid watch or are they .

Ordered from Japan last week and just turned up today, my new Speedy Racing 326.30.40.50.06.001. Still hunting for my ideal chronograph and revisited the Omega Speedmaster Racing because there are some great gray market deals out there for it.. I realize that the SMP gets so much praise but what are your thoughts on the Racing Chronograph?

Being novice watch collector, I am not sure if I’m ready to spend more than K on a time piece. although I want to. seamasterspeedy. New to the forum and recently purchased my third Omega. So far I love everything (ok almost everything - could do without the yellow speedmaster on the bracelet) about this piece. If you think the regular 42mm Speedy is too small, I think you’re commenting on the new 44mm Speedmaster racing. It’s a cool watch, for sure. I’m actually looking at the older, discontinued version with the 3300 movement powering it. I had the opportunity to try on the Speedmaster Racing at a local Authorized Dealer recently. I've always loved the look of this piece and I enjoyed seeing it in the steel. The chronograph has a great feel and snap to it.
